Personal localization beacon (PLB) PLB-350C SAR-Link View, developed by ACR. Small and lightweight, it has a GPS receiver, a strobe lamp and a screen integrated. It finds easily its place in pockets of hikers, climbers, skiers, pilots and other airsport adepts.
Works with the global international satellite rescue system Cospas-Sarsat: it features a transmission of the identity and the position of the mobile in distress, a worldwide covering, free alert service (no subscription needed). A screen allows to easily visualise the GPS position sent by distress call.
After its activation, the beacon transmits the ID-number of the holder on 406 Mhz and a radio guiding signal on 121,5 Mhz, facilitating the searches.
Delivered with a holster allowing versatile use: to attach it on a backpack, on a belt, on a life jacket, or on a board of an ultralight, of a glider, or of a SUV.
